Katie Mossman, MSW, LCSW

Katie opened her practice in Lebanon (Boone County) in May 2012. She is also working part time as a grief counselor and bereavement coordinator at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. Katie previously was in private practice in Hendricks County from from March 2004 through December 2011.

Prior to her private practice, Katie was employed by St. Vincent's Stress Center at the Northwest Counseling Outpatient office and provided individual, family/marital and group therapy for mental health and chemical dependency. Other employment experiences include Director of Outpatient Services at Behavioral Health Care of Lebanon, rotations at the Veteran's Administration hospital, Director of The Caring Center (an emergency needs organization), career counseling and geriatric psychosocial home services.

Katie also provided clinical supervision for an MSW student (2013) and LCSW candidates (2014-2019).

Katie has served in several volunteer capacities, including Project Help Board of Directors, Council on Aging and Emergency Needs committee.

Katie gravitates towards a cognitive behavioral brief model of therapy but strives to be eclectic in the needs of her clients. Her specialty areas include mental health and chemical dependency issues, depression and anxiety management, grief and spiritual struggles, women's issues and geriatrics.

Katie Mossman earned her bachelors and masters degrees at the Indiana University School of Social Work. Katie graduated in the top ten percent of her class in the Masters Program with a grade point average of 3.93 out of a possible 4.00. Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Katie is committed to professional continuing education and research. She regularly attends seminars and keeps current on psychiatric bibliotherapy resources. Katie comes highly recommended by her previous colleagues and clients.
